I am away for 2D1N Batam Leisure Tour (巴淡岛2日游) on 18/10 and 19/10 for the Yew Tee CC GRLs Retreat.
Day 1
Esther & her son Johnston
We all assemble at Harbour Front Centre, Departure Hall. After which we proceed to Barelang Fisabiliah Bridge, which is the biggest bridge linking to the tiny islands of Tonton, Nipah to the larger Setoko, Rempang, Galang and Galang Baru Islands. All these bridges make Barelang looks like on island. The first bridge connecting Batam to Tonton Island is impressive with its 38-metre high spans and 642 metres in length. Passing over the amazing bridges in indeed a fascinating experience as the overview around the area is breathtaking. The deep blue sea, the smooth asphalts roads, the green hills and the picturesque coasts are just sensational charm of this newly unveiled beauty.
Some Fun on the way to Ex-Vietnam Camp

From Barelang Bridge we visited the Ex-Vietnam Camp(former refugee camp)on Galang Island. It is an area where the Vietnam refugee stay. There were hospital, church, even their ship is viewed there. But unfortunately, the buildings is not maintained except the quill. Now we only could see their remain and I think it's absolutely scarry to see it in the afternoon or night!!! Like a ghost house...

After that we had lunch at Fisherman Restaurant. ....yummy.... I didn't capt the foods picture... We were too excited to had the lunch!

1st shopping spot is the Authentic Baker's Centre to see how hand-made Kek Lapis is being made and I brought 2 big boxes of freshly baked Kek Lapis home. We also got sampling with coffee and tea are being served too. This picture was Capture outside the Baker shop. Handmade motorbike craftVisited to temple

We also visited to Polo Shop which is locally made polo t-shirts. After that some process to Massage and some when for shopping.

We had the Dinner & Karaoke hour till 9.00pm.

There is noting much in Day 2, we have the breakfast@ I Hotel cafe, free & easy till check out. After our breakfast, still do some review & planning workshop, actually the workshop have been cancel, suppose retreat only, but................why???

After that we decided to go Nagoya Market, so we walk around 15 min, we also brought hand bag and some Kerupuk. Went to Nagoya Hill Mall for shopping also. Our lunch at own expenses, we eaten A&W.

Around 2.40pm we back to hotel to pack our luggage and assemble at the lobby, but wait until 4.30pm the coach still never come, only till 5.15pm then the coach reached. I think this is some unhappy thing that we do not like. Leave for Harbourbay Ferry Terminal.

We had our Seafood dinner in local restaurant next to Harbourbay Ferry Terminal, 7.00pm we walk over for check in. Ferry to Harbour Front Centre, we arrived Singapore around 8.30pm, transfer from there to Yew Tee CC and ***HOME SWEET HOME***
