YTCC WEC Durian and Fruit Feast on 25th July 2009
YTCC WEC had a durian and fruit feast, alfresco style, on 25th July. The ladies gathered at Jurong Point to do some shopping on the last weekend of the Great Singapore Sale before heading down to Jurong West market for the durian feast. The weather was humid that day but the group was determined to have their 猫山王、金凤 and XO durians for dinner!
Much bargaining was done at the durian stall before a deal was made for some good and bitter taste (苦肉) durians. Other fruits such as mangosteen, longgan, rambutan and jackfruit were also thrown in to complete the menu for the feast.
The feast lasted for about 2 hours and the group was drenched from perspiration at the end of the feast; the group then said their goodbyes and head home with a happy stomach full of kings and queens of fruit ~~.
