SIP is celebrating its 15th birthday this year. The Suzhou Club will be organising a dinner event on 9 May 2009 at Ritz Carlton. They have generously invited me to attend the dinner. Looking forward to enjoy the dinner with all of them.
The Singapore-Suzhou Club (SSC) was officially launched on 16 Jan 2002 by our Prime Minister Mr Lee Hsien Loong and Suzhou Party Secretary Dr. Chen Deming in the Equinox, Swissotel The Stamford, Singapore.
The Club aims to foster better relationship between Singapore and Suzhou residents and share information and experiences among our members and the business community.The Chief Patrons of the Club are PM BG Lee and DPM Wong with the pioneers leaders who have been involved in the SIP development as Patrons or Advisors. Mr Goh Toh Sim, CEO of EVERGRO Properties Ltd is the President of the Club, and he will be assisted by a 17-member committee.
新加坡苏州协会将由新加坡副总理李显龙先生和苏州市委书记陈德铭博士于2001年1月16日在瑞士酒店史丹佛69楼宴客厅主持协会成立庆典。
新加坡苏州协会是由过去几年在苏州工作的一群新加坡人组成的一个民间组织。希望通过此协会促进和深化新加坡和苏州人民之间的感情与联系，会员们也可借此和企业社群共享资讯和经验。
李副总理为协会的首席赞助人，其他曾参与苏州工业园区建设开发的领导将成为协会的赞助人或顾问。新加坡工程集团许保华总裁为新加坡苏州协会会长。协会的工委由17人组成。

Written during the Ming dynasty by Tang Xianzu and considered a Chinese national treasure, The Peony Pavilion exemplifies Chinese Kun opera, an art form combining literature, music, dance and drama. This powerful story focuses on love, beauty, relationships and marriage and continues to resonate with modern audiences everywhere 400 years after it was written. Produced by renowned writter Kenneth Pai Hsien-yung, the abridged version is presented in three parts over three nights. Part II will be sure to delight audiences with its mix of romance, fantasy and adventure. Also, don’t forget to find out what happens in the end in Part III the following day!
